Sports Medicine
Sports medicine involves treating sports injuries which occur when playing indoor or outdoor sports or while exercising. Sports injuries can result from accidents, inadequate training, improper use of protective devices, or insufficient stretching or warm-up exercises.
The most common sports injuries are sprains and strains, fractures, and dislocations. These injuries may have significant impact on your daily activities and at times may limit the motion activities. When you suffer an injury during sports events, never try to continue the activity in pain because it may cause further harm. Some injuries may require prompt attention by a doctor, while others can be treated at home.
